On April 16, I turned ONE YEAR OLD!!! I got to celebrate this special day with so many wonderful people that came from near and far. I think birthdays rock, for many reasons, here are a few:
4. If you get cranky, no one minds. They know it's because you are all partied out.
3. You can eat whatever you want. Especially broccoli. (See photographic evidence below.)2. You get all sorts of new things to play with (like wrapping paper), and toys too!
1. You get to see all the people you love, all in one place!!!
Mommy tried to begin the festivities by taking a One Year picture with me and my monkey friend. As you can see, that proved a bit more challenging than she thought!
So many people to look at! Why focus on the camera?
These are just a few pictures of my wonderful family and friends that came to my birthday... I was such a busy bee that I didn't get to take pictures with everyone! It means so much to me, my Daddy, and my Mommy that everybody came!
My first present was a book from Granny and Pa. I love it! It actually reads to me in Granny's voice... how cool is that?
Snack break! Cousin Avery and I got to share some bread and snack-y stuff. Yum!!!
Hey! What do you know? A piano!! Thanks Nan and Granddad! I wonder how they knew I'd like it...
Grammy Tammy brought me another monkey friend! Thanks Grammy Tammy! I love monkeys!!
I got a cool new princess rocking chair from Aunt Becky, Uncle Scott, and Cousin Avery. Avery showed me how to use it- it's big enough for two!!
I had been hearing all about this whole birthday cake business. There was a really nice cake for the grown ups, and two little cakes for me and Avery. I wonder why they called them "smash cakes"?
Why is everyone standing around and watching me? This is interesting...
Oh, this is cake??? No thank you, that is not for me! Does anyone have any veggies?
After the less-than-pleasant cake and icing experience, I had some delicious broccoli and cheese, and the party was over...
...or so they thought!!! Let the wild rumpus begin!
Nothing like celebrating your birthday by watching cartoons in your birthday suit!
The next morning, I was pretty sleepy, but I got to enjoy my chair before my big photo shoot with Abby. My monkey friend fits just perfectly with me!
On Monday, I had birthday muffins with Mrs. Angie, Kailee, and Kamdyn. These are more my style!
