Feed Me, Seymour!

After almost six whole months of eating milk only, Mom and Dad finally decided I was ready for SOLIDS on October 11th!! This is possibly one of the best ideas they have ever had, since I love my solid foods! It was five days before my six month birthday when I got to try my first solid... rice cereal! It was a unique experience, for sure. Here are some pictures from my culinary adventures.

"Umm... what is this stuff? Seriously, people..."

Even though I wasn't wild about my first bite, I let Dad give me some more rice cereal. Weird stuff. Very mushy and didn't taste like much of anything.

"Hmm, I do like this bowl thing. It's nice to chew on! Plus, it's pink of course."

"Hey Dad, I can handle it! Just let me hold the bowl..."

 "Got Rice Cereal?"

On a trip to Houston, we went to Lupe Tortillas, Dad's favorite Mexican restaurant. I didn't get any tortillas, but I did get to try water. Man, that stuff is great! Nice and cold, and I got to drink from a big person cup!

This was from my first bite of sweet potatoes. I'm really not sure what I think about them. They might be poisonous, hence the worried look.

"Ok, I survived the first bite. Still deciding what I think, though."

I know I look worried, but I kept eating.

By the end of my first sweet potatoes, I was eating like a champ! And, of course, practicing my Gerber baby pose...

Mom and Dad decided I was ready to eat in my highchair. I love it! I think I look very official, like a mini Trump!

 "Well, hello sweet potatoes!"

I figured out that I can grab the spoon, too!
"Hey Mom, hand over the spoon or else!"

"Haha, I got the spoon! Now what?"

I figured out I could use the spoon to make funny faces!

 And now for the bowl!

Sweet potatoes are so good, I had to lick my bowl clean!

Mom has discovered a new accessory: bibs! They're the new statement tee. Here's my Halloween bib- can you read the message?

Just when you thought eating couldn't get more exciting, Mom and Dad decided to try going out to eat and I got to sit in a special chair! I sat up the whole meal, and was nice and cozy thanks to the chair cover from Uncle Casey and Aunt Laura. Thanks guys!

Oh, delicious water from a straw!!

I love being a big girl! So many new foods to try, new places to visit, and things to do! So far, I have really enjoyed sweet potatoes, squash, bananas, and pears. I LOVE pears. Rice cereal is not a fave, but I am such a good eater, I'll eat it if I have to. Looking forward to new foodie adventures!
